These Community Guidelines explain the rules that apply to activity on Soundvia outside the dedicated copyright notice-and-takedown process. Copyright and other formal intellectual property notices should use soundvia.eu/dmca or [email protected]. These Guidelines apply to tracks, releases, cover artwork, lyrics, comments, direct messages, profiles, playlists, pre-save pages, developer applications, OAuth apps, profile customization, lyric video exports, labels, distributor tools, API usage, and any other feature that allows a user to upload, publish, transmit, configure, automate, or display material.
1. PURPOSE AND SCOPE
1.1 Soundvia is a music platform for listening, discovery, creator tools, artist profiles, playlists, collaboration, messaging, developer access, and related services. The Platform depends on users being able to publish and discover music without being exposed to unlawful content, deceptive behavior, harassment, rights abuse, platform manipulation, or technical attacks.
1.2 These Guidelines are part of the rules users agree to follow when using the Platform. They supplement the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, DMCA / copyright claim process, label agreements, distributor agreements, developer rules, billing rules, and any feature-specific notices shown in the product.
1.3 These Guidelines apply even when content is private, follower-only, unlisted, shared by direct link, stored as a draft, sent by direct message, included in an API request, used only as metadata, embedded in profile customization, or generated through a platform tool.
1.4 We may moderate content, accounts, developer apps, metadata, profile styling, playlists, direct messages, release drafts, uploads, or feature access when we believe the activity violates these Guidelines, the Terms of Service, applicable law, technical safety requirements, third-party rights, billing rules, or platform integrity standards.
1.5 These Guidelines do not provide legal advice. They also do not create a contractual right to publish any specific item, keep any feature enabled, receive any ranking, or receive any particular moderation outcome.
2. GENERAL CONTENT STANDARD
2.1 Users may not upload, publish, transmit, link to, encourage, coordinate, monetize, automate, or otherwise use Soundvia to support content or conduct that is unlawful, deceptive, exploitative, abusive, threatening, technically harmful, rights-infringing, or designed to evade enforcement.
2.2 Context matters. Staff may consider the content itself, captions, lyrics, artwork, metadata, comments, account history, release history, messages, reports, external links, user intent, recurrence, severity, risk of harm, and whether the material appears artistic, documentary, educational, satirical, journalistic, or clearly abusive.
2.3 A track, lyric, artwork, profile, comment, message, or playlist can violate these Guidelines even if only part of it is problematic. Users are responsible for the whole item they publish or transmit.
2.4 Attempts to use misspellings, coded language, alternate spellings, screenshots, audio distortion, hidden metadata, private links, profile CSS, image text, lyric timing, track titles, playlist names, or API fields to avoid moderation may be treated as intentional evasion.
3. ILLEGAL CONTENT AND SERIOUS HARM
3.1 Users may not use Soundvia to publish or coordinate illegal activity, threats of violence, exploitation, trafficking, extortion, stalking, doxxing, non-consensual sexual material, child sexual abuse material, terrorism, violent extremism, fraud, unauthorized access, malware, identity theft, or other serious harm.
3.2 We may remove content, restrict access, suspend accounts, preserve records, notify affected users, or cooperate with lawful requests from authorities where required or appropriate.
3.3 We may act faster and with less prior notice when there is credible risk of imminent harm, exploitation of a minor, threats against a person or location, coordinated abuse, technical compromise, or evidence of criminal conduct.
3.4 Users may not praise, instruct, recruit for, materially support, or coordinate violent extremist organizations or terrorist activity. Artistic or documentary discussion must not include operational instruction, recruitment, fundraising, or praise of specific violent acts.
4. SAFETY, HARASSMENT, AND ABUSE
4.1 Harassment is not allowed. This includes targeted insults, repeated unwanted contact, threats, intimidation, humiliation campaigns, sexual harassment, coordinated dogpiling, malicious tagging, impersonation for abuse, and encouraging others to harass a person.
4.2 Users may not threaten physical harm, sexual violence, swatting, doxxing, financial harm, account compromise, false legal reports, or reputational destruction.
4.3 Users may not publish private personal information without permission. This includes addresses, phone numbers, government identifiers, private emails, financial information, private login data, private images, private messages, location data, or information that creates a realistic safety risk.
4.4 Content attacking people based on protected or sensitive traits is not allowed where it promotes hatred, dehumanization, exclusion, inferiority, violence, or targeted harassment. Protected and sensitive traits may include race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, serious medical condition, age, immigration status, or veteran status.
4.5 Artistic expression can discuss hatred, discrimination, violence, or conflict, but users may not use artistic framing as a cover for targeted abuse, recruitment, threats, or dehumanizing attacks.
5. SEXUAL CONTENT, MINORS, AND EXPLOITATION
5.1 Any sexual content involving minors, real or simulated, is prohibited. This includes images, audio, lyrics, roleplay, grooming behavior, solicitation, sexualized comments about minors, links to such material, or attempts to trade or request such material.
5.2 Non-consensual intimate material is prohibited. Users may not upload, request, threaten to share, link to, describe for identification, or monetize intimate images, recordings, or private sexual material without consent.
5.3 Adult sexual content may be restricted, age-gated, de-ranked, hidden, or removed if it is explicit, exploitative, non-consensual, used to harass, presented in a place where users would not reasonably expect it, or otherwise violates applicable law or platform standards.
5.4 Users may not use Soundvia to solicit sexual services, commercial sexual exploitation, trafficking, coercion, blackmail, or sexual contact with a person who cannot legally or meaningfully consent.
6. SELF-HARM, DANGEROUS ACTS, AND HEALTH CLAIMS
6.1 Content that encourages suicide, self-harm, eating disorder behavior, dangerous challenges, or instructions for serious injury may be removed or restricted.
6.2 Content may discuss recovery, grief, mental health, addiction, or lived experience, but it must not romanticize, instruct, pressure, or challenge users to harm themselves or others.
6.3 Users may not publish deceptive medical claims, fake cures, dangerous health instructions, or content that creates a substantial public health risk. We may consider current public guidance, severity, audience, and likelihood of harm.
7. RIGHTS, OWNERSHIP, AND CREATOR RESPONSIBILITY
7.1 Users must own or control the rights needed to upload and publish their audio, artwork, lyrics, samples, beats, stems, loops, performances, metadata, videos, profile assets, and exports.
7.2 Users may not upload stolen music, leaked music, unauthorized remixes, uncleared samples, unauthorized cover artwork, copied profile images, ripped audio, reuploaded third-party catalog, false credits, fake ISRCs, misleading UPCs, or content they do not have permission to share.
7.3 If you use a beat, loop, sample pack, vocal, stem, melody, lyric, artwork, visualizer, font, video clip, or collaborator contribution, you are responsible for confirming the license allows your use on Soundvia.
7.4 Do not mark another artist as a contributor, featured artist, rights owner, label, distributor, producer, engineer, or collaborator unless the credit is accurate and authorized.
7.5 Do not use Soundvia tools to create exports or derivative works that violate third-party rights. This includes lyric video exports, preset marketplace submissions, profile backgrounds, playlist covers, and imported assets.
7.6 The DMCA and copyright claim process is separate. A rights holder should use soundvia.eu/dmca or [email protected] for formal notices. Staff may still act under these Guidelines where there is obvious rights abuse, fraudulent rights claims, repeat infringement, or platform manipulation.
8. MISREPRESENTATION, IMPERSONATION, AND FRAUD
8.1 Users may not impersonate another person, artist, label, distributor, company, fan page, government body, platform employee, rights owner, or representative.
8.2 Users may not create accounts, profiles, releases, comments, messages, pre-save pages, or developer apps that falsely imply affiliation, endorsement, verification, licensing, ownership, label status, chart status, award status, or platform approval.
8.3 Fraudulent behavior is prohibited. This includes phishing, fake support messages, fake billing notices, fake copyright notices, fake verification offers, account selling, credential theft, payment fraud, chargeback abuse, scam links, malware links, investment scams, giveaway scams, and deceptive promotion services.
8.4 Users may not sell or transfer accounts, invite codes, badges, verified status, Artist Plus entitlements, gift links, OAuth tokens, API tokens, or moderation outcomes unless Soundvia explicitly permits it in writing.
9. SPAM, MANIPULATION, AND PLATFORM INTEGRITY
9.1 Users may not manipulate listens, saves, follows, comments, playlists, bumps, recommendations, searches, charts, analytics, pre-saves, promotion surfaces, API limits, verification signals, or moderation systems.
9.2 Prohibited manipulation includes botting, click farms, artificial stream farms, paid fake engagement, follow-for-follow automation, scripted listening, repeated self-streaming to distort metrics, duplicate accounts, recycled uploads, mass tagging, misleading metadata, and attempts to bypass quotas.
9.3 Spam is prohibited. Spam includes repetitive posting, unsolicited bulk messages, irrelevant links, comment flooding, playlist stuffing, deceptive tagging, keyword stuffing, repeated low-effort uploads, and automated behavior that degrades discovery or user experience.
9.4 Users may not use private, follower-only, draft, or share-link features to stage abuse, evade quotas, hide fraudulent activity, or coordinate prohibited behavior.
10. TECHNICAL ABUSE, SECURITY, AND DEVELOPER CONDUCT
10.1 Users may not attack, probe, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, bypass, disrupt, or compromise Soundvia systems, user accounts, staff tools, billing systems, storage systems, APIs, websockets, recommendation systems, anti-abuse controls, or content protection systems.
10.2 Users may not upload malware, exploit payloads, harmful scripts, hidden redirects, credential harvesters, malicious profile CSS, unsafe fonts, hostile SVGs, weaponized media files, or content designed to compromise a browser, device, account, or server.
10.3 Developer apps must use the API honestly, respect scopes, respect rate limits, protect tokens, identify themselves accurately, avoid dark patterns, and avoid collecting more user data than necessary.
10.4 OAuth apps must not misrepresent requested scopes, trick users into granting access, sell user data, store tokens insecurely, or use Soundvia content outside permitted terms.
10.5 Attempts to exploit bugs must be reported responsibly. Do not use a bug to access data, alter another account, bypass billing, bypass moderation, inflate metrics, or publish unauthorized content.
11. PROFILES, CUSTOMIZATION, AND VISUAL ASSETS
11.1 Profile names, handles, bios, banners, avatars, links, social profiles, custom CSS, backgrounds, and visual assets must comply with these Guidelines.
11.2 Users may not use profile customization to hide report controls, cover legal notices, imitate platform UI, inject scripts, mislead users, create fake login prompts, conceal prohibited links, or degrade accessibility.
11.3 Profile links must not point to malware, phishing, scams, non-consensual intimate material, illegal goods, illegal services, extremist recruitment, or rights-infringing distribution.
11.4 Handles and display names may be reclaimed, restricted, renamed, reserved, or transferred if they impersonate, infringe, mislead users, create safety risk, violate rights, or conflict with platform operations.
12. COMMENTS, MESSAGES, PLAYLISTS, AND SOCIAL FEATURES
12.1 Comments, timed comments, replies, mentions, direct messages, playlist names, playlist descriptions, playlist covers, collaborative playlists, party sessions, pre-save pages, and invitations must follow these Guidelines.
12.2 Users may not use social features for harassment, spam, threats, scams, unsolicited sexual content, stalking, evasion of blocks, brigading, targeted humiliation, or coordinated manipulation.
12.3 Private messages are not a place to break the rules. We may restrict, investigate, or act on messages when users report serious abuse, illegal activity, threats, exploitation, or other severe violations, subject to technical limitations and applicable law.
12.4 Users must respect blocks, privacy settings, message restrictions, playlist collaboration permissions, and party session boundaries.
13. AI, AUTOMATION, AND GENERATED CONTENT
13.1 Users are responsible for AI-assisted content they submit, including lyrics, summaries, prompts, generated profile styling, recommendations, translated lyrics, video presets, and other outputs.
13.2 AI-generated or AI-assisted material may not be used to impersonate, defraud, harass, infringe rights, generate illegal instructions, create deceptive endorsements, fabricate legal claims, or evade moderation.
13.3 Users may not represent AI-generated vocals, likenesses, artwork, metadata, or lyrics as authorized by a real person or rights holder unless they have permission.
13.4 We may limit or disable AI-assisted features where prompts or outputs create legal, safety, quality, privacy, or platform integrity risks.
14. MODERATION ACTIONS
14.1 Depending on severity and context, Soundvia may take one or more actions: warning, visibility reduction, label, age restriction, feature restriction, comment deletion, message restriction, profile edit, metadata edit, link removal, playlist removal, track removal, release takedown mode, account suspension, account termination, developer app revocation, API token revocation, billing entitlement review, upload block, search de-indexing, recommendation suppression, or preservation for legal review.
14.2 We may act on a single severe violation. We may also act on patterns of smaller violations, repeated borderline behavior, bad-faith reporting, technical abuse, evasion, or conduct that shows a user is unsafe for the Platform.
14.3 We may remove or restrict content without a formal report when automated systems, staff review, trusted signals, user reports, legal risk, rights signals, security indicators, or platform integrity evidence indicate a violation.
14.4 We may temporarily hide or lock content while reviewing a report, verifying ownership, checking safety risk, investigating account compromise, or waiting for additional information.
15. NOTICE OF MODERATION DECISIONS
15.1 Where appropriate and feasible, we may notify affected users about moderation decisions. A notice may identify the content, action taken, general policy basis, date of action, whether automated systems were involved, and available appeal options.
15.2 Notices may be delivered by in-product notification, email, account message, moderation center, support response, API response, or another reasonable method.
15.3 We may limit detail where disclosure would create safety risk, reveal detection methods, expose private information, prejudice a legal process, enable evasion, or violate another user's rights.
16. APPEALS FOR NON-DMCA MODERATION
16.1 If your content or account was restricted for a non-DMCA reason and you believe the decision was wrong, you may appeal by contacting [email protected] or using any in-product appeal flow we provide.
16.2 Appeals should include your username, affected content URL or ID, the moderation action, why you believe the action was incorrect, relevant context, and any supporting evidence.
16.3 Appeals should be honest and specific. Do not submit false evidence, forged licenses, threats, harassment, unrelated complaints, repeated duplicates, or attempts to pressure staff through abuse.
16.4 We may uphold, reverse, narrow, expand, or modify a moderation action after appeal. We may ask for more information. We may decline to review repeated, abusive, irrelevant, or bad-faith appeals.
16.5 Copyright takedowns and counter-notices must use the dedicated DMCA / copyright process. A moderation appeal is not a substitute for a formal counter-notice where copyright law requires specific statements.
17. REPORTING CONTENT
17.1 Users may report suspected violations through available report tools, support channels, or [email protected]. Copyright and IP notices should use soundvia.eu/dmca or [email protected].
17.2 Reports should identify the content, explain the issue, and include relevant context. False, malicious, repetitive, or abusive reports may lead to restrictions.
17.3 Reporting content does not guarantee removal. We review reports against these Guidelines, the Terms, available evidence, technical signals, applicable law, and platform risk.
18. TRANSPARENCY, AUTOMATED SYSTEMS, AND HUMAN REVIEW
18.1 Soundvia may use automated systems to detect spam, fraud, audio matches, abuse patterns, account compromise, rate-limit abuse, rights risk, unsafe files, malware indicators, and other policy signals.
18.2 Automated systems may flag content for review, block an upload, reduce reach, require additional verification, or trigger a temporary protection. Important or disputed actions may be reviewed by staff where feasible.
18.3 Automated systems can make mistakes. Users may appeal eligible moderation decisions and provide context.
18.4 We may improve detection systems over time. Past availability of content does not mean it complies with these Guidelines or cannot later be moderated.
19. REPEAT VIOLATIONS AND EVASION
19.1 Users may not evade enforcement by creating new accounts, changing handles, reuploading removed material, changing metadata, using another account, using a label or distributor account, using a developer app, altering audio, cropping artwork, using private links, or routing through third-party systems.
19.2 Repeat violations may lead to escalating restrictions, including account termination and loss of access to uploads, messaging, comments, developer apps, Artist Plus benefits, label tools, distributor tools, and other features.
19.3 Severe evasion can result in immediate termination even if the original violation was less severe.
20. CHANGES TO THESE GUIDELINES
20.1 We may update these Guidelines as the Platform, law, risks, and product features change. We will update the Last Updated date when changes are made.
20.2 Continued use of Soundvia after updated Guidelines are posted means you agree to follow the updated Guidelines. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Platform and may delete your account, subject to legal retention requirements.
